Red Eye Correction Photoshop
If you’re using any type of flash mounted directly over the lens (including built in flash) you will most likely end up with photos that require red eye correction. Here is a Instant Red Eye Removal method for photoshop.
Step One: Open the photo where the person has red eye. I’m going to use a red-eye photo I grabbed off the Internet.
Step Two: Press Z to select the zoom tool and zoom in on the eyes by dragging a rectangle around them. Now get the Red Eye Tool from the Toolbox, it’s under the spot healing brush, or you can hold shift and press j until you get the right tool.
Step Three: Like I said earlier, this really is an instant method for red eye correction in photoshop. Just click inside the red part of the pupil you want to correct. Wait about 1 second and bam, the red eye is gone! All of the adjustments are done automatically by photoshop, eliminating any guess work on your part. Click inside the second pupil and you’re finished.
Optional Step Four: If you aren’t happy with the results you can tweak the results with a couple of different options. The Pupil Size and Darken amount are both available for tweaking on the Options Bar at the top of photoshop. Feel free to mess around with them if you don’t get the exact results you wanted from the first click.
Here’s a before and after photo to give you an idea of the results you can expect from your instant Photoshop Red Eye Correction.
